In
November 2001, Damoclesians Sibylle Johner and Adam Kent collaborated
in a program of Spa-nish music for cello and piano on the Third Street
Music School Settlement's Faculty Artist Series and Ohio Wesleyan
University's Duvall Chamber Music Series.
Works by Joaquín Nin, Salvador Brotons, Ernesto Halffter, Gaspar
Cassadò, Joaquín Turina, Manuel de Falla, and Federico
Mompou were enthusiastically received by near-capacity audiences in
both venues. Writing of the concert in the Delaware Gazette, critic
Lyman Leathers concluded, "It was an evening of music making
at its best."
